ScienceDirect / Elsevier
If you come across an article on Elsevier's ScienceDirect that you want to read but it requires you to , follow the instructions on this page.
Please note that the Library does not subscribe to all the materials provided by Elsevier.
We do have access to most, but not all of the collection
It is better to perform your searches in Library Search, as this guarantees you can get access to the material you find.
after that, select Other institution (don't use the Email / Username and Password sing in in this page).
Then you have to fill in your University of Dundee email (without the dots in the name) and password.
When you are on the page of the article you wish to see, but instead of giving you the option to Download the PDF it asks you to , click Check Access on the upper part of the page, and then Check Access.
Then, just type "Dundee" and select "University of Dundee".
After you have signed in, you should be redirected to the article page and the Get Access button should have been replaced by a Download PDF option, if the library has access to that material.
