Resource Lists

A guide for academic staff on Resource Lists

Embedding Resource Lists & My Library in your module

Copyright law prohibits PDFS of articles and books to be uploaded directly onto MyDundee modules.

One of the easiest ways to avoid this and frequently updating URLs which many altered throughout learning materials, is to add the resource to the Module/Course Resource List and then either embed the individual resource or section into your MyDundee modules.

*Embedded items/sections will be lost during Rollover of MyDundee modules and rollover of Resource Lists. The will need to be re-embedded every semester/academic year dependent on individual course/module*

Using shareable URLS from Resource Lists

If embedding items doesn't suit your needs, then each item/section or entire list has a shareable URL which you can add to your module/learning materials.

Click on three dots (for individual resource, section or list). Then select Create a shareable link

You can then add this link to your learning materials or send to students.

The advantages are:

  • Reinforces use of resource list for module.
  • Library staff check links to ensure URLS work etc.
