Reading & Resource Lists

A guide for academic staff on Resource Lists

the library doesn't hold the article I'd like added to my resource list?

Follow the instructions for Digitisation

the list isn't appearing on MyDundee?

There could be a number of reasons for this:

  1. Has the list been published? Only published lists are visible/available to students.
  2. Our Resource List software gets information feeds from MyDundee for module codes/module collaborators. Has your module code changed? For the list to be visible on MyDundee the module code on MyDundee and Resource List software needs to match. Check the module code on

MyDundee                                Resource List software

If information is different, then contact LLC-Resources@dundee.ac.uk for necessary amendments.

I've just added all my resources to the learning materials in MyDundee

  • Avoid adding PDFs directly onto Learning Materials in MyDundee. This is a copyright infringement. Please ensure that the University of Dundee has access to the e-resources you are using.
  • The Resource List software is designed to avoid breaking copyright. You can use shareable links or embed items/section from Resource List software instead.

  • Links and PDFs can be difficult to relocate in learning materials. Items are organised in Resource List for students to use effectively and efficiently.
  • Library staff review Resource List content to ensure links work.

I've ran out of time
