As part of our commitment to helping students settle into university life and engage with digital learning from day one, we are offering a comprehensive induction experience that blends live Welcome Week sessions with a phased online induction programme delivered through My Dundee.
We encourage all staff to be aware of these activities so that we can offer consistent messages to students and guide them effectively.
Welcome Week Live Sessions
We are running eight scheduled sessions during Welcome Week — a mix of live online and in-person drop-ins and presentations. These sessions are designed to introduce students to My Dundee and provide hands-on support with digital tools.

Monday 15 September – Online
11:00–11:30 – Introduction to My Dundee (Presentation)

These short sessions are an opportunity for students to gain confidence using My Dundee and to ask questions about the tools they’ll encounter in their modules. Here is the link to calendar for the sessions.
Online Induction Programme (Week -2 to Week 4)
In addition to live sessions, students are guided through a phased online induction experience within My Dundee via pre recorded videos. This content is carefully timed and targeted, appearing across various pages (e.g. Institution Page, Profile, Organisations Home, Modules Home, and Module Content Page) based on what students are most likely to need at each stage.
