Each year, the ICAI (International Center for Academic Integrity) runs a day of Action. This year marks their 10th year, with the theme being:
Everyday Integrity: Discovering your superpower
Student Competition: Comic Strip
This year's student competition is to create a short, engaging comic strip that shows how honesty, responsibility and ethical choices can be a powerful force in everyday life. This is a chance to share a personal, authentic perspective on academic integrity through creativity and storytelling.
Key Details:
- Submission Deadline: Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm EST
- Gift cards worth up to $150 USD for the best submissions
- Minimum 6-panel comic strip (hand-drawn or digital)
- Open to High School and Higher Education students worldwide
- Submissions welcome in any language

Activities during the day (for staff and students)
Over the course of the 15th October (8:15 UK time to 22:45 UK time) there are seminars, discussion groups and panels of staff and students from across the globe looking at Academic Integrity.
We are happy to announce the welcome return of Accessibility week. Educational Development working with colleagues from the Support Hub and other Schools will be delivering a series of practical and actionable Focus On Accessibility sessions. Delivered alongside these Focus On sessions will be in person drop-ins held in the EduZone (ground floor Main Library).
These sessions and drop-ins are designed to support academic and professional services staff in preparing content with accessibility built in from the onset, offering basic and practical guidance on key digital tools including My Dundee, Panopto and MS Office.

Get the Basics Right: Focus On Accessibility
Creating accessible learning materials for learners isn't just a legislative requirement, it's the right thing to do. In this session, participants will have the opportunity to gain an awareness of Microsoft’s accessibility checkers in Word and PowerPoint and think about getting the basics right at the source and to understand common issues that can easily be fixed.
