Having issues with Questionmark or ExamOnline assessments and can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Don’t worry, we’re here to help!
Automatically marked or computer marked assessments (CMAs) can be created using a number of different tools. Formative and summative assessments scheduled in My Dundee modules (outwith the exam diet) can be created using Blackboard tests, Questionmark or Möbius.
Blackboard tests can be used for all straightforward computer marked assessments (e.g. multiple choice questions) to provide students with instant feedback on submission of their answers. Module leaders are responsible for creating, deploying and running results of Blackboard tests. We have a guide covering the basics on creating an automatically marked assessment in Blackboard, and you can also find further information on Tests in Blackboard help. If you have any queries about Blackboard tests, please log these through Help4U.
For computer marked assessments (CMAs), Questionmark OnDemand (QMOD) tends to be used when assessments contain more complex question types eg drag and drop, multiple response and knowledge matrix question types, alongside the more standard MCQ. Module leaders can create QMOD questions and assessments themselves or request the Educational Development Assessment team to create them. The Assessment team deal with the publishing and scheduling of all QMOD assessments and can also provide a copy of the results if required.
To learn more about the full process, please visit our staff QMOD guides, and in particular the Overview and getting started guides.
Möbius is used by Science and Engineering for specialist STEM assessments. Module leaders are responsible for creating, deploying and running results of Mobius tests. Support is available from Möbius Help and through Help4U.
