Support Smart: Understanding Student Transitions

Student Services' support guide for Academic School Staff and other student facing staff

Students can experience many transitions during their time in university. For instance, when they start university, move between different levels of their course and when they finish their studies.

The QAA commissioned a project, as part of the Enhancement Theme on Transitions to explore the skills and strategies that a student might develop and use during a transition, or period of change. The aim of the project was to provide students and staff with resources to support them in understanding transitions. They published a range of toolkit resource packages split by audience type and number of project outcome reports.
