This module is designed specifically for Discover Learning at Dundee (DLAD) students.

This is a core module in academic skills designed specifically for the DLAD programme. You will be expected to achieve a pass in Learning Xtra before commencing your subject modules.

The module is delivered online via the University’s virtual learning environment (VLE), My Dundee. (Check the ‘Announcements’ on My Dundee every time you log in to the module.)

Module Aims

Learning Xtra will introduce you to the skills and practices that are typical for university study.

For example, the ability to:

  • think for yourself;
  • manage your time effectively;
  • analyse complex issues;
  • communicate effectively;
  • and write for academic purposes.
